The Texas Lutheran Men's and Women's Track and Field squads opened up the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational on Friday.

SEGUIN, Texas Texas Lutheran sophomore Cori Picazo (Sugar Land/Austin) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for a second time this season.

Cori Picazo won the pole vault, while Haleigh Garcia won the triple jump, as Texas Lutheran's men's and women's track and field teams competed at the UTSA Invite on Saturday.

Texas Lutheran Women's Track & Field finished second, while the men's team finished fifth in Friday's Trinity Tiger Invite.

SEGUIN, Texas Brandon Chiuminetta has joined Texas Lutheran Athletics as an assistant coach for women's and men's cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field.
